Common Questions
What does joining the Parent Council involve?
Members of the Parent Council participate in regular meetings, attended by the head teacher, school staff, parents/carers, and other interested parties (such as staff from Midlothian Council). These meetings provide an opportunity to discuss the school's progress, priorities, and plans; to raise concerns and suggestions; to plan events and fundraisers; and to get to know members of the school community.
Do I need to join the Parent Council to get involved?
Absolutely not! We are always keen to welcome parents/carers along to our meetings, which are open to everyone and not restricted to Parent Council members. We are also delighted to receive any support, whether that be a donation for a tombola/raffle or a donation of time.
Where are when are meetings held?
The Parent Council Meetings are either held in person or online. You are very welcome (and encouraged!) to attend to learn more about how the school and Parent Council are working in partnership.

In person meetings are held at the school, usually on weekday evenings. Online meetings are held via Teams and you can email to request a link.

Please find full details of upcoming meetings on the Events Page.
